Our girls broke the Concept 2 World Record!
On the 1st of January 2020 at 7pm, the Junior section Izzy Hooker, Issy Walker, Olivia Griggs, Florence Locks, Aoife Montagner, Daisy Chamberlain and Freya Hooker set off to break the world record for the longest continuous row.
They spent 4 long days and nights rowing in 1 hour shifts - spending 14 hours each on the machine. They completed the challenge and broke the world (and national) record and raised £5500 for a new boat.
Throughout the 4 days so much happened - Florence celebrated her birthday, the girls also found a new love for crafts and became significantly better at Just Dance!
But the most memorable part was the bond the girls developed along the way!
Thank you to all the volunteers who made this happen!
